Our client encountered significant difficulties with Lightspeed, a platform that lacked advanced inventory management capabilities essential for businesses with large and varied product catalogues. The absence of features like automatic reordering based on inventory thresholds added complexity to operations, which was particularly challenging for small businesses. A key issue was managing inventories across online and physical storefronts through the Point of Sale (POS) system, which Lightspeed’s limitations exacerbated.
The Strategy
To overcome these challenges, we orchestrated the client’s transition to Shopify, a platform offering robust inventory management solutions. This migration involved the complex process of transferring over 10,000 products, and their variations amid the ongoing sales in the physical store. Our technical team ensured a seamless transition within a strict timeline, maintaining data accuracy, and minimizing disruptions.
